BUILDING OF SHIPS OF WARE.

L Whether they build their sbipps of warr by great, or by day worke.

If by great, at what rates, and how much they pay for building a Tonne.

2. Whether they use onely seasoned timber, and never green wood, and what time and manner they use in seasoning it.

3. Whether they use elme or onely oaken plank, and of what scantling for the most part.

4. Whether they take up timber, planke, clove board, deale boards and such like provisions by commission, and pay for it at a price rated by the officers of their admiralty; or else buy it at such prizes as the market affordeth.

If they buy them of the merchant who hath the makeing of such hargaines, and what allowance is farther required for the prizes hee giveth: and to whom such provisions made are delivered in charge, and in what manner, for avoyding corruption of officers by inhansing the prizes, or diminishing the store.

5. Whether all these provisions of timber, planke etc. are received into a common timber yard by some man that is accomptable for the same, what order the said accomptant useth in delivering it
